| kate Bromwich-Alexandra | 28 August 2008 10:51:48 |
Thanks Penny for your lovely comments. I absolutely LOVE running the website but it's no good if no-one wants to use it so it's great that people seem to be enjoying it. Hope to do the new editorial this week so keep watching X
| Penny B | 26 August 2008 10:34:07 |
kate - this website just gets better and better - a delight to read and always makes me sad when i can't attend meetings for one reason or another!
| Val | 21 August 2008 07:01:11 |
Really enjoyed Sunday's visit to Howick Hall. The walk was lovely through beautiful woodland and the company was great. A warm welcolm to Debs. Nice to spend time with Kate, Annie an Aud and get to know you a little better and the lemon merange pie was just superb.
| Aud | 20 August 2008 19:49:45 |

Great work, Kate, you certainly keep this site lively and interesting. Thanks for putting up the piece on the LBi Coalition, too.
| kate Bromwich-Alexandra | 31 July 2008 22:13:07 |
Cheers Aud. It was an amazing, expensive and exhausting week, but just what I needed frankly, and we have 2 weeks in Bamburgh to chill out, relax and unwind. Come over for hot choc when we get back? x
| Aud | 31 July 2008 18:16:32 |
Hi Kate, | |
| kate Bromwich-Alexandra | 17 July 2008 12:31:15 |
Thanks Guys for your kind comments. I was enormously moved by our first Pride and it's good to know everyone enjoyed it as well.
| Pauline | 16 July 2008 12:23:04 |
A brilliant write up Kate. It was a fantastic day and I really enjoyed it. Judging by the look on some faces as we walked down Northumberland Street I would say that more than a few would have liked to have joined in. Lets hope lots more join in next year.
| Aud | 15 July 2008 19:19:03 |
For those fans of the L Word with Sky or Cable TV, Series 5, which was due to start this month, has been put back until September. Please note it will be on Living 2 this time.
| Aud | 15 July 2008 19:15:56 |
Kate, a great report. | |
| Kath | 14 July 2008 18:47:20 |
Thanks for a great report Kate. You have no idea how proud I was to be leading the first ever Pride parade through Newcastle. I have to say, I was so busy concentrating on keeping the band right that I was oblivious to much of the proceedings, but I too was overwhelmed by the support we received, especially at the Civic Centre.
| kate Bromwich-Alexandra | 10 July 2008 23:07:30 |
Thanks Aud, one does one's best. Your comments are much appreciated X
| Aud | 10 July 2008 18:41:22 |

Thank you Suzy, I'll give you the tenner later!!
| Suzy Colebeck | 10 July 2008 11:33:45 |
Wow - this website is great, most local organisations don't have such a well organised, easy to use and nice to look at site if they have one at all. Well done to your webmaster (mistress of course!)
| kate Bromwich-Alexandra | 08 July 2008 22:25:51 |
Yes, I heard that. Excellent. Also her new single(that dates me) is getting a lot of airplay on Radio 2
| Aud | 07 July 2008 12:01:42 |

| Pauline | 24 June 2008 10:25:00 |
Hi Val. | |
| Val | 24 June 2008 08:51:18 |
Hi Pauline ... I haven't been to Pride for years but this year I hope to be there playing with the Bangshees (just joine them!) Sounds like it's going to be an eventful day!
| Pauline | 23 June 2008 19:55:42 |
Im going to be stewarding at Pride. So if anyone is going I look forward to seeing you there.
| Val | 23 June 2008 17:22:34 |
Good to see you at seahouses last weekend Jude. Been some years since we last met. Nice to meet Julie, too. As Kath says ... where were you when the Bangshees played in Sunderland?
| kate Bromwich-Alexandra | 21 June 2008 10:29:45 |
Re: Kath's Sarah Waters question. Yes, I did see the show, very good it was too. I love her books 'Tipping the Velvet' and 'Fingersmith' and I enjoyed the TV adaptations although they were a bit galloped through, and (obviously) centred around the most sensational aspects of the books. I didn't Read Affinity because I don't like ghost stories, and I really didn't like Night Watch. I find that particular literary device of starting at the end quite irritating, and in the case of Night Watch, it was also depressing as one knew from the outset that the penetrating gloom of the story was never going to be relieved. I believe that her new book does not feature lesbians as central characters, which is a shame. Absolutely her right of course but, I would have thought that she has had enough success as a writer of lesbian stories, to not need to court the mainstream.
| Aud | 19 June 2008 19:20:23 |
Re Julie Felix gig. I totally agree with your thoughts on this.
| Kath | 18 June 2008 19:19:06 |
Had a great time in Seahouses on Saturday, sorry we lost half the group after the crazy golf. Thanks to whoever thought of the idea! Julie, it was really nice meeting you at the weekend, come back and join us again sometime. it was also great to see you again jude, but where were you last night at the Bangshees gig in Sunderland?!
| kate Bromwich-Alexandra | 17 June 2008 22:46:00 |
Er..there might be some suggestion of bias there Annie, d'you think??
| Annie | 17 June 2008 09:26:02 |
Keep it up, Kate. This must be a leading contender for 'Best website in the Region' - if only somebody ran such a competition!
| Annie | 16 June 2008 12:06:20 |
Kate - have to agree re the set on Saturday night, a real mixture, but the spanish songs stood out as a real treat. Lovely to see the welcome she was given, though, and I am so glad to have seen her. I still have very fond memories of watching her TV show - all too many years ago!
| kate Bromwich-Alexandra | 16 June 2008 11:38:53 |
Thanks Julie. I didn't get to meet you because I was on the boat trip, but I'm glad you had a good time. See you another time maybe.
| julie | 16 June 2008 09:47:30 |

| kate Bromwich-Alexandra | 15 June 2008 23:37:24 |

| Aud | 28 May 2008 19:27:06 |
Sounds good to me. | |
| Annie | 22 May 2008 14:04:14 |
Would everyone be interested in having the networking events listed, maybe in a separate section, to keep them distinct from the social side [which is our main purpose, of course]?
| Aud | 20 May 2008 19:00:11 |
......and also films we recommend, such as Nina's Heavenly Delights and Gray Matters.
| Aud | 20 May 2008 18:54:52 |
Hi Kate, | |
| kate | 16 May 2008 17:47:43 |
a number of people have said that the Guestbook won't recognise the code. I have tried this several times and it does seem to work. I should point out that the codes are case sensitive so maybe that is the problem. Please do tell me what problems you are having inputting messages as I can report them
| kate | 16 May 2008 17:43:46 |

| lisa hunt | 07 March 2007 10:14:01 |
Hi Kate, this looks really good. If anyone wants to add anything, how do we do this? Do you have to do it or can anyone do it? For example, the book group isn't on and neither is the Health afternoon. I also think it might be useful to have a history of the group, and some of the previous activities. Thanks such a lot for doing this - a real step forward! Lisa
| Pauline | 23 February 2007 18:34:28 |
Well Done Kate. Its brilliant.
